Laura was born and raised in Sweden. Before coming to the US, she worked as a free-lance illustrator with a variety of clients in Stockholm. In 1993 Laura moved to New York City where she quickly established herself, doing illustrations for high-end department stores, magazines and newspapers, and working with clients in fields ranging from fashion to finance. Laura entered a new phase in her career when her first children’s book, Toni’s Topsy-Turvy Telephone Day, was published in 2001. Ten more books followed, most recently Search and Spot: Go! (HMH), along with a number of games and other products for children and adults. She still loves New York and now lives in Brooklyn with her husband, daughter and dog, Lola.
