Rafael grew up in Switzerland in a beautiful town next to a lake and nearby lush forests filled with blackberries. He began his career studying graphic design and some illustration classes. After using a lot of Helvetica typeface, he moved to the US and started to work on film title design, entertainment design, motion graphics and commercial illustration. Over the last few years, his passion has shifted to children’s books, as an illustrator and author. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife, and two children.
