Sonali Mehta is a TV writer/producer and (now) novelist who adores stories about yearning, murder, and the truly terrifying act of loving someone. A co-producer on Disney's COVEN ACADEMY, she writes character-driven genre, romance, and suspense filled with people coming of age, making impossible choices, and being just as messy as real life.

Sonali grew up (like so many of her characters) in rural Pennsylvania devouring romance novels, watching the Lifetime network, and developing a lifelong fascination with death and every other dark thing. Her work is often inspired by the idea that love is both the most powerful and most disruptive force in the world—capable of changing destinies, exposing secrets, and making otherwise sensible people do wildly irrational things.

When she's not writing, she can usually be found on a long hike with her border collie, husband and 9-month-old son, overthinking fictional relationships, or convincing herself that this time she definitely knows who the murderer is.
